I feel like before I dive into the recipe I have to point out that I am 100% a fan of buying a dip. It saves time, energy and the whole getting dishes dirty BUT let’s be real grocery’s have been incredibly expensive lately.

In an effort to cut back on my grocery bill I have been testing my had at making homemade dips, like my mom used to when we were kids. I quickly found out that homemade dips were super simple, incredible approachable and literally a quarter of the cost of buying the same style of dip from the store.

Creamy Dill Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayo or vegenaise

  • 1 cup sour cream or vegan alterantive

  • 1 1/2 tbsp dried dill

  • 1 tbsp dried parsley

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp pickle juice

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt & Pepper to taste (I use about 1/2 tsp of each)

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into a large sealable container.

  2. Stir until everything is completely mixed together. Pro-tip: start slow so the the pickle juice doesn’t splash everywhere, also using a small whisk or fork helps to reduce splash-back.

  3. Store in the fridge for about 30 minutes or more to allow the flavors to blend together.

  4. Serve with your favourite vegetables.
