Hi, I’m Brittany Gordon.

Healing Ginger’s Brittany is a registered holistic nutritionist, certified personal trainer, yoga instructor and wellness expert. Beyond the certifications, I am passionate about helping others take control of their health through nutrition planning and supporting programs.

My first challenges with nutrition began as a young child, where I suffered from chronic stomach and digestive issues, eczema, allergies (hello, anaphylaxis!), and a sprinkling of food and drug sensitivities. I spent my time seeing doctors, dermatologists, having testing done and being put on very specific diets and digestive protocols. Despite numerous hours in and out of the offices of medical professionals, I had very little long-term relief.

I received help from individuals in both traditional and western medicine. Unfortunately, it always seemed to come back to the same place: a massive flare-up of my symptoms. Although I found pockets of relief here and there, nothing seemed to work in the long term. Then it happened I was finally over it in my early twenties. I had a flare-up to beat all other flare-ups, eczema was all over my face and the majority of my body, the creams and ointments given by my doctors weren't helping (and let's be honest: never felt great to begin). It was at this point that I decided to take things into my own hands: while at university, I decided to look into how I could support my body to help it heal.

My Approach

“I am a firm believer in developing and supporting habits that will help you feel your best: not just for 30 days, but for a lifetime. At Healing Ginger, we focus on real-life health, nutrition and movement to support developing healthy, life-long habits that help us all feel our best.”

Learning to inform myself

This research opened my eyes up to so many different tools, information and protocols. With minimal understanding of how things worked, I was able to experience some relief of symptoms and could feel my body relaxing. But I was very aware that this would only take me so far.

I found a naturopath, and when I started working with an individual who understood more than I understood myself, things finally started to click. After a four-year university degree and working for the government for eight years, I decided it was time to pursue my passion and go back to school. As I studied, I quickly became excited about sharing this information with others.

Helping Others navigate

My nutrition journey was long, painful and confusing. I don’t want anyone else to experience the same challenges: I design client-driven programs, based on compassion and understanding, abstaining from the traditional diet culture approach of judgement and shame. I strive to offer my clients the type of support, encouragement and realism that I sought out for decades
